Platelets are amazing components of blood, their most common service to the body is to help blood clot when you get a cut, but the next thing they do is begin healing tissue. Platelets have growth factors: Platelet Derived Growth Factor (PDGF) is the main one but there is also Transforming Growth Factor-Beta (TGFß) which is a family of growth factors.

Growth factors promote healing. It’s that simple.

Your own blood is drawn first. Either 30 ml or 60 ml kits are used. This is then “spun” in a special centrifuge which concentrates the platelets by more than 6 fold compared to the patient’s normal unconcentrated blood.

The resulting Platelet Rich Plasma has many uses, for our plan it will be used in a joint (knee, shoulder, tendon) or used to enhance the face or be used to help regrow hair.
